[15:51] :-/ [15:55] 1 week seems like a long time to prepare a warrior.......but it flies by heh [15:56] yep. I started to optimize and just did less than 10% of all tests planned [15:58] Also ~29000 tests is a bit too long optimization :) [15:59] That's it? [15:59] <- 67 million [15:59] I haven't tested anything yet :-( [16:00] With my CPU power available, it is [16:00] Neogryzor, Heh [16:00] If I were to optimize at work I'd have like 800,000GHz of processing power... [16:00] I could submit a optimax job to the processing farm : ) [16:00] woah, another lucky admin, are you? [16:00] Wow, that would be handy :-) [16:00] Yes [16:01] I'm not crazy enough to do it though [16:01] (yet) [16:01] :P [16:16] btw, is it "nearly" or "nearby"? [16:17] Neo: in what context? [16:17] It is nearly time / It is nearly there [16:17] nearly ~= almost [16:18] "has nearly no chance" [16:18] There is a burning building nearby [16:18] nearby ~= near here [16:18] ah, okay [16:18] nearby means phisical distance, right? [16:19] Yes [16:20] hrm [16:21] datagram, what do you do? [16:23] you can be vague if you like :) [16:24] Datagram is from the NSA [16:25] heh [16:25] shouldn't he be cryptogram then? [16:25] N stands for? [16:25] 800THz ... sounds like a company working with money :) [16:26] No Such Agency! [16:27] Hmmm... got to go. [16:27] I'm only going to have about 2 hours to make an entry :-( [16:28] Easy. Fiveop, what are you going to submit for the round? [16:30] Neogryzor: hehe :P [16:30] I haven't done anything during the week ... so it's kind of fair :P [16:32] nothing done? [16:33] seems you are both in the same situation. Is is going to be certainly a stone-paper-scissors battle :) [16:33] Hmmm... [16:34] Well I know which of those three I would enter [16:34] You will enter or you would enter? :P [16:34] Anyway, got to go and actually write the thing! [16:35] I know which type I will enter. [20:39] nothing yet, except the things I build last sunday [21:44] Join: Roy joined #corewars [21:45] About time I get started on writing my entry I guess.. [21:45] heh :) [21:45] hi Roy [21:47] Until now I had the best strategy... no strategy :-) [21:47] But now I have to make something :( [21:48] hmm, shouldn't be that hard [21:48] Just make something that beats your opponents warrior, its not that hard [21:48] (yes, that was sarcastic) [21:48] Heh about 50% change :-) [21:49] well, I guess 51% chance, because you're the favourite :-P [21:49] 33% change you beat him, 33% change you get beat... and the other 33% is diveded gain by two, add it up > 50% [21:50] lol [21:54] Roy: remember you're fighting jens...just do something that kicks papers [21:55] :-P [21:55] lol [21:56] BTW, I'll also let run all entries round robin as in qualification [21:56] Having a qscan or not might have a big effect on results.. So in that we are all screwed up since it adds another layer to p/st/sc -style trickery [21:56] dont forget clp's :) [21:58] I dont think there will be pure CLP's around, everyone thinks that its too big risk. [22:02] I still don't know what CLP's should look like [22:02] Google it ;-) [22:03] ... :) [22:03] There's no entry in Fizmo lexicon yet [22:03] It is just a program that sits and does two things, first it checks two positions, one in front and one behind the warrior, and second, it dat-wipes the core [22:04] When it finds something (its 'fence' is being changed) [22:04] a dodger? [22:04] that means a clear is comming towards the warrior, then it copies itself to another position, so it isn't wiped by a clear [22:04] but what does it do after the first dodge? [22:05] Continue wiping and checking [22:05] checking against what? [22:06] Against the clear, it can have multible passes or something [22:06] And because it checks CLP's clear is pretty slow [22:11] http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Movies/11/04/leisure.lennon.reut/index.html [22:12] Last alinea> The Catcher in the Rye ;-) [22:12] (its in the news!) [22:13] Hrm, I'm going to paris in december... hopefully the riots will end soon..!! [22:14] They were only in some suburbs till now, didn't they? [22:15] some? [22:15] 16! [22:17] And also other cities now, Lyon and Marseille [22:18] Err Djion not Lyon [22:30] back in 30 minutes [22:30] Part: sascha left #corewars [22:31] yay, the next entry arrived [22:43] MSG: [22:49] Fizmo: who?
