[15:49] evenings [15:57] hacking on anything interesting miz? [15:57] waiting for a slot to become available on an ET-server [15:58] Hi :-) [15:58] hi [16:00] Anything new? [16:00] nope [16:01] whatcha been hacking met? [16:05] More updates to corewar.co.uk [16:05] I've been adding some websites which have disappeared to the archive [16:06] And trying to contact all the authors [16:21] MSG: Ping timeout: 245 seconds [16:28] Join: sh0ne joined #corewars [16:32] hrm. [16:32] hello [16:36] hey sh0ne [16:37] hi bvowk [16:38] w'up [16:38] just finished skimming some warriors [16:38] ql [16:42] I think they're not going the way I need them to.. [21:30] h b [21:30] heh [21:30] no vowels today miz? [21:31] i rpefer to write less, connection to shell laggy when using p2p [21:31] which causes typos, and repairing them takes too much time [21:31] heh [21:32] you could just rate limit your p2p to save bandwidth for your sessions.. [21:32] traffic shaping is fun and easy! [21:32] it already has 5 Ko upload free, and about 100ko downstream [21:33] you can actually make things work better if you're traffic shaping properly.. you can make sure your acks go first to prevent resent packets [21:33] dropping your acks because there are too many bits to stuff in is bad. [21:35] i used to have traffic prioritising in the DSL-router, but i had to switch into bridged because it choke down the box.. [21:35] two dsl-boxes, and both choke down with little more than average amount of packages [21:36] both have different manufacturer and chip.. [21:36] yeah.. [21:36] most consumer level widgets are total dogshit when it comes to packet twiddling. [21:36] i think every single dsl-box is complete shit when not run bridged [21:36] if you want to make pretty much anything cry, just emit piles of packets and watch them melt [21:37] heck, a 150e sdsl-box chokes down too [21:37] yup. [22:13] goddamnit, maybe my memory is wrong [22:18] i remember succesfully making a certain trick work, but now i have no idea how i could've done it [22:43] Part: Mannerisk left #corewars [23:11] MSG: Quit: humhum [23:17] bah, ive just spent 30 minutes just walking around in the apartment thinking [23:17] maybe i should go outside for a walk or something [23:18] (its 2am..)
