[12:19] Imp is a gerneral term for a mobile warrior only using MOV [12:19] worm is an old term, I think it's an imp with more than 1 process [12:20] spiral is an imp which executes at serveral locations, normally spaced evenly throughout the core [12:21] ring is a spiral with the minimum number of processes, i.e. on for each location in core, or 'point' [12:21] spl 2668 [12:21] mov -1, 2667 [12:21] mov 0,2667 [12:22] simple code to build an imp ring, which executes at three locations in core [12:22] because it has 3 processes, it runs through core slower than a single process. [12:23] If it overwrites a single process warrior, it usually kills it [12:23] Whereas an imp would simply convert the opponent to an imp. [12:23] The 3 processes in the ring support each other. [12:24] A spiral is better to use with a bomber [12:28] wow @_@ reading xD [12:29] mm....k, which spirals do usually well? or should I even think of 2 seperate spirals? [13:40] ? [14:12] MSG: [15:16] hrm. [15:17] whoa. Holy FSCK! [15:17] Fluffy was about. [16:52] in short - no [16:53] mm....can I get the longer version, too^^? [16:55] they do not have enough ability to defeat opponents together - many scanners and anti-imp, against stone/imps you only draw, papers will cause massive losses [16:55] and -> are [16:59] k. how many processes should the spiral contain of, that the bomber does not start too slow? [17:00] that i really cant answer, it depends on how fast the bomber makes new processes [17:00] 1/5 to 1/3 are worth testing [17:00] k, thank you very much [17:03] Join: Fizmo joined #corewars [17:37] i dont know why, but the evolver is somehow really biased against smsnn -structures [17:38] not against, for [17:38] "smsnn"? [17:38] five previous runs, 2 of them have been smsmm, and now i have smsmd.. [17:38] Spl/mov/spl/something/something [17:39] thx [17:48] bleh [17:49] hi b [17:50] hi hi [17:50] how goes? [17:51] fine, thanks [17:51] and you? [17:55] pretty fair. [17:56] I'm in denial about it being december already. [17:57] (so am i) [17:57] was supposed to send some drinks to collector in the states, but its taken me 3 weeks to not check the sizelimit for tubeletters [17:59] i got the cans in the fridge already, and the material for tubes, just havent bothered to do the additional research [18:00] Join: johnkw joined #corewars [18:00] hi John [18:01] * johnkw waves after crash reboot [18:01] hello [18:02] * Fizmo waves to John KW [18:03] anything new with your idea for the segmented hills fiz? [18:04] yes [18:04] I actually running the first trials [18:04] looks fine so far [18:05] but, in case I open for public, it will be just an offline hill [18:07] cool. [18:07] I notice the ugp people use something similar [18:08] ohh, really? [18:13] yeah..
